My Little Pony Trading Cards

Most people who like My Little Pony end up going to get the toys but when they do that, they don't realize that there is another MLP thing they could be collecting. Now if you go to the trading card section you can get My Little Pony trading cards!

My Little Pony Trading Card Collectors Tin Gift Set

Above is one of the first things I got, the trading card tin gift set. In this tin you get 6 packs of trading cards, an exclusive Twilight Sparkle foil card, and a checklist/poster.  In each trading card pack you get a 4 trading cards, a tattoo sheet, and a foil or popup trading card! The 3d popup cards are awesome, there are 9 possible cards to get, the mane 6 and cutiemark crusaders. All together there are 84 regular cards, 43 foil cards, 9 pop ups, 12 tattoo sheets, and 8 gold series cards. Not all of these cards are available in the trading card packs, for example there is a collector's binder that comes with 6 exclusive foil cards. The card packs are typically a couple dollars a piece, and are found in the trading card section of your store. There are also the tin gift set of course, and the 30 card box set that comes with one of the four exclusive box toppers. Looking online it seems it may be rather difficult to get a complete set, most of the special foils were given out at different Conventions, making them only available online. 

If your store doesn't have these, I would say don't worry and just keep checking. When they first came out the company literally ran out of stock and had to reprint all of the cards, it is possible they could fully run out of stock again. I highly recommend checking into these trading cards, the artwork is beautiful and features many different ponies and scenes. 

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic APP

A week or so ago a new free app with a cash store became available on iOS devices, and will soon be available for Android as well. The app is simply called My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic.

There are quite a few random MLP apps, but this one is a full game by Gameloft with the icon above. The game itself is set in a time separate from the show. Nightmare Moon has taken over the land, and Twilight Sparkle has to take control back and defeat Nightmare Moon with the Elements of Harmony with her friends. The set up of the game is quite a bit like your typical Zynga games, where you make buildings, gather coins and elements.

However with this game, there are minigames in it. One that is available for free daily is the Balloon Pop, you get to pop balloons until you get 3 prizes. There are three other minigames that deal with the ponies you get specifically. Two of them become available after certain periods of time depending on what pony they are, one is a ball game where you toss a ball back and forth with a pony while the other is an apple drop game where you catch apples in baskets.  The third game pops up when you have gotten a certain amount of points on a pony, this is a flying game where you gather coins and avoid storm clouds.

In the game like I said you buy buildings to gather coins etc. Some of these buildings are shops that you can gather items from, while others are houses for ponies. There is a large variety of ponies you can get, the mane 6 are of course part of the list, but you can also get several fan favorites as well.You get ponies by spending coins, hearts, and gems in the store. There are other ponies that make appearances randomly in the game, for example Derpy shows up in a box randomly for you to find.

The game can be played by yourself if you skip certain quests, however there is a friend system with the game. Its rather glitchy right now, not letting all your friends show up but things are getting better. You have to sign up with gameloft in the game, once you have signed up you can send friend requests to people if you know their screen name. I definitely recommend checking out this game if you have an iOS device, it is a lot of fun to play and filled with everyone's favorite ponies.
