Princess Cadance and Shining Armor Fashion Ponies

So a few weeks back I was able to take a trip to a target store! I have none in my town so its very hard for me to get to one, but I was able to and got some exclusive sets including this one!

Princess Cadance and Shining Armor are sadly just Target exclusives as I've mentioned, and they are no longer available on Target's website. However you can use this page , the item page, to see if your store possibly has them. These are not always 100% correct, but they are usually correct far as Target for me.

These ponies are absolutely beautiful, being the fashion ponies which are much bigger compared to the usual 5 dollar ponies. Fashion ponies typically cost 15 dollars a piece, and the mane 6 and princesses have all gotten ponies for the set. These two come with several small accessories as all fashion ponies do so you can put barrettes in their hair etc. They always come with clothing the girls typically have a cape like dress with Shining armor having the first actual shirt that I've seen on a fashion pony, though I haven't gotten all of the fashion ponies yet.

I find the fact that shining armor has been giving a mohawk rather amusing  really, I see no reason for them to have done that. After all his hair was nothing like that in the series, however they may have been wanting to distinguish him as a male pony.  Beyond that though I rather like these two ponies, they are very beautiful and the fashion ponies are just fun ones to get even if they are more expensive then most of the ponies.

If you are hoping to get these but don't have a target in your area there may be another solution to it. A while back Target also had a Princess Luna and Celestia two fashion pony pack,  beautiful set and came with a lot of accessories. However now they have these two ponies as individual ponies available everywhere, the only difference being in some of the accessories and the lack of tinsel in the newer editions. They may end up doing the same for these ponies, but if you see them in a store I do highly recommend getting them now just incase they don't come out. The prices are already going up because of it being a Target exclusive, as all exclusives tend to get expensive.

I highly recommend getting these ponies for your pony fan's collection, they are great to play with and just to have to display in a collection.

Zecora Pony Figure

Recently I ordered a pony from Toys R Us, they had a Zecora figure exclusive to their stores. This is actually the only brushable pony version available right now, though there is a blind pack version of her.

As I mentioned before Zecora is a Toys R Us exclusive however you can purchase her on Amazon as well from other people through multiple links, two of them are above.  Right now they cost more then the Toys R Us  ponies, however right now Toys R Us does not have any available to be shipped. They do stock these randomly, for 15 dollars a pony, you can see if they have it in stock here. Also you can have them email when it's available to be shipped, I did and got an email when they were in stock. I ordered right away and was able to get her . In  the package she most likely looks a bit different, the plastic thing holding her on mine was no longer attached to the cardboard back of her box. Her box is beautifully made, its simple but a great package for her and its easy to get her out of the package.

Its a bit hard to tell in the picture but she has her tribal cutiemark and she has random stripes on her as she does in the animation. However her marks do not go all around her legs, she actually was only painted on the outside with the inner part of her legs and her belly not painted. Beyond that these ponies are beautifully made,   the head is turnable and even the rope on the tail can be moved. I find how long they made the string around the tail to be a bit odd, but that is just a personal preference. Her size is the same as most 5 dollar brushable ponies, and she does not come with any accessories. You may be wondering what has made her so expensive compared to others. Well there are a few reasons, one thing she is part of the fan favorite collection. These ponies are always more expensive then the other ponies, and another thing is the fact it is a Toys R Us exclusive which always raises prices. However there is one big reason she is more expensive...

SHE GLOWS IN THE DARK!

This picture was taken with my cellphone in the dark without the flash on, so the picture is grainy and I apologize for that. However it is still gets the point across, she is the first brushable g4 pony that glows in the dark. This alone just makes her epic in my eyes and definitely something to invest in getting!

This pony is well made and definitely something little ones would like to play with. I highly recommend her for My Little Pony fans, but keep in mind she is more expensive then other ponies.

So guys something you should know is the fact I have started a facebook page for the blog! On here exclusive news and photos will be posted! So make sure to like it, I will be uploading a ton of things to it!

Rainbow Dash and Derpy Hooves Figures

With My Little Pony being so famous there are bound to be fan favorites, and of course there are toys of said favorites. Many of them have ended up with toys at Toys R Us, however there is one pony that was a Comic Con exclusive. Derpy, Ditzy Doo, or even Bubbles was a Comic Con exclusive last year and her brushable pony is extremely expensive costing well over 100 dollars just for the pony. However now there is a non-brushable pony of Derpy Hooves now available, for those who want to have at least one figure of her.

The figures are sold through Hot Topic, and are sold separately  You can purchase them on the actual hot topic site, but Hot Topic is one of the sites where you can also purchase through Amazon which is linked above. These figures are 15 dollars a piece, however they are well worth the price and are bigger then the brushable ponies.

As you can see above, these figures are a lot bigger then the standard g4 ponies you can get for 5 dollars at many stores.  Not only this but the ponies are solid, making them quite a bit heavier then the usual pony toys you can get. These ponies are made by one of my favorite companies for figurines, they are made by Funko who makes a variety of pop culture bobbleheads and pop figures out of vinyl. This alone hints that there may be more My Little Pony items coming from this company, as they often do multiple things for a fandom it gets the license to do.

These ponies are beautifully made, especially for a company that doesn't normally do ponies though Funko's stuff is always wonderfully made.  They designed the characters well making them fit the actual characters well, it is rare for Rainbow Dash's mane and tail to be correct but they did an amazing job for them. Not only that but instead of just going with the same exact  mold for both ponies as many toys end up doing, they went with different molds for their hair to keep things closer to the actual characters. Derpy's eyes on this are done in the same fashion as in the show, with one being centered up while the other is centered lower to give her her signature look.

It truthfully is very hard to find any complaints about these figures. One of the few I have is the fact their heads do not turn at all, making it hard to see derpy's eyes unless you settle for not seeing her cutiemark at the same time. Also the fact that its rather easy to see many of the seams in the plastic, including the one on her head showing her head is actually two different parts. Another personal thing I would have liked to see is the My Little Pony log on one of the hoofs as all ponies have, there aren't any marks on the pony besides a small item number on a hoof.

These ponies are amazing addition to any pony fan's collection, however I am not sure these would be a good pony for a young one to have because of how hard it is. I would imagine they would have more fun with a brushable pony then with these figures, but it all depends on how old your child is and what your child wants.
